Turkey’s Nest Rainforest Cottages accommodation at Mt Glorious is a perfect retreat from the bustle of city life, close to the city, yet a world away. Nestled in 6ha of tranquil rainforest just 45km north-west of Brisbane, our two secluded and private cottages have a warm and welcoming atmosphere, cosy fireplaces, serene rainforest views, plus all modern conveniences for a truly relaxing bush getaway.
We take pride in the homely atmosphere, tasteful decor, attention to detail, and the personal touches of fresh flowers, candles, port and chocolates.
Awake to the sound of whip birds and a magnificent view through majestic hoop pines and rose gums to the rainforest below. Take a rainforest walk, stop at a local cafe, then back to your cottage for a massage, reading a book, sipping wine, a romantic candlelit meal, port and chocolates - how much more relaxing can it get?
Turkey's Nest is a registered wildlife refuge. The village of Mount Glorious is surrounded by D'Aguilar National Park. There are beautiful walking tracks through both rainforest and gum forest. At 620m above sea level, it is cooler than Brisbane in summer, and can get quite cold and misty in winter - a good time to sit in front of the fire with a glass of wine and a good book!
