Exceptional Kangaroo Island is a full-service tour operator which combines vacation planning services, catering with our in-house Chef, a guiding service and touring company to give you access to the best of Kangaroo Island. We have been operating since March 1986 - the longest running Kangaroo Island touring business. Our promise is good food, good wine and wildlife in the wild.
Our guides are all local people with a passion for sharing their knowledge and experience in living in a small community on a beautiful Island. Most of the people you will interact with across the Island if you tour with us are people we know by name. Likewise with the wildlife encounters - we do not name the animals but we often recognise individuals and by their behaviour it is clear they are comfortable sharing their habitat with us. Regular species encountered include: Kangaroo Island kangaroos; tammar wallabies; short-beaked echidnas; koalas; Australian sea-lions; long-nosed fur-seals; Rosenberg's goanna; bottle-nosed dolphin; and a wide selection of the 260+ species of birds which call the Island and adjacent waters home.
We offer a Kangaroo Island visit which is tailored and personalised to your requirements. You can select between small group touring on set itineraries (Island Life, Flinders Chase Focus or North West Wilderness); do the same experiences but on a private basis; or start with a blank slate and completely customise the tour itinerary, places visited and even the menu. We source as much of our produce from the local purveyors and can cater for the most specific dietary needs. Your accommodation can also be tailored to your needs - choose from beach houses, private villas, luxury lodge, hotels, farm stays or simple country inns.
