In Queenstown our flagship trip is the King for the Day. Starting in the mountains of the West Coast Range we raft the King River Gorge and further on to the shores of Macquarie Harbour. Along the way you will journey through dense wilderness rainforest and ancient huon pine trees, see the evidence of the west coast industrial mining past, learn of escaped convicts and early prospectors, and see the West Coast Wilderness Railway from another angle. A journey of over 20 kilometres this will be a highlight of your holiday.
The King River Gorge, Raft and Steam Experience gives you the thrill of the rapids in the King River Gorge and then the enjoyment of travelling back to Queenstown on the steam train over the steep Abt section of track above the King River Gorge. This tour gets you back to Queenstown in time to enjoy the town or in time to travel on to your next destination.
In Hobart during the summer we raft the Derwent River near New Norfolk. The clear warm water, easy rapids, and tranquil reaches make this a great family day out. Catch a glimpse of some of the local platypus, resident sea eagle or occasional wallaby as you travel through the idyllic Derwent Valley countryside.
We supply all the rafting and safety gear required, along with transport to and from the river. All our day trips come with a great lunch, you just need your bathers and a spirit of fun and adventure.
