50minute Cataract Gorge: Cruise past historical Kings Wharf, Seaport and Launceston's delighful riverfront precinct before cruising into the spectacular Cataract Gorge as we engage the Lady Launceston's unique silent electric drive. View the sheer cliffs, and unobstructed views on our award winning 1890s style vessel and enjoy the skippers captivating commentary on the history and fauna of this fascinating area.
2.5hr Morning or Afternoon Discovery Cruises: On board our double story Catamaran, the Tamar Odyssey, head 20klms down the Tamar River, passing Tamar Island, historical buildings, farming communities, vineyards, heading towards Rosevears and Windermere area to see the second oldest licenced pub, the Rosevears Tavern and then head across the river to the beautiful St Mathias Church at Windermere. Included in the cruise is either morning or afternoon tea, fresh baskets of fruit, small Tasmanian beer and wine tasting, unlimited tea and coffee and commentary throughout the cruise before heading back to Launceson to go into the magnificient Cataract Gorge.
4hr Batman bridge Luncheon Cruise: Cruise into the magical Cataract Gorge and through Launceston's riverfront precinct. Head past Tamar Island, historical buildings, churches, pubs and significant homestead. Sample the rich diversity of life as we cruise past quaint riverfront communities, vineyards and farms to the notable Batman Bridge. Australia's longest navigable estuarine river, it has many natural coves and protected inlets that provide a sanctuary for thousands of native water birds that can only be seen on the river. The Tamar valley is steeped with romance and studded tales of bushrangers, explorers and fold diggers. Included in tour is morning tea, light lunch, Tasmanian cheese and fruit platter, small Tasmanian beer and wine tasting, unlimited teas and coffee and commentary throughout the cruise.
