Avon Ridge is an established boutique vineyard set between the picturesque country towns of Stratford and Maffra overlooking the Avon River Valley in Eastern Gippsland. Over 30 year old vines, our hand crafted award winning wines are the product of our cool local climate, which produces fruit deep with varietal flavour and elegance. Guests are welcome year round to explore our intimate vineyard, enjoy our restaurant and sample our highly drinkable wines and ciders.

It all began with a hayshed. When we made the decision to serve our wines rather than simply sell them, we chose the perfect location atop a slight hill. It overlooked the iconic Gippsland landscape of grapevines and the Avon River Valley’s rolling pastures. The only problem was, that spot was already claimed by a hayshed. So began the task of converting it into a welcoming, relaxed destination. Ever since couples have come to create their dream wedding, achievements and milestones have been celebrated and families and friends have gathered to spend time together here at Avon Ridge.

Our menu, celebrating the diversity and quality of Gippsland produce and complementing our award-winning range of wines and ciders, is one reason to visit. Our laid-back atmosphere, with plenty of space and activities for the kids, is another. We source all meat, eggs and vegetables used in our kitchen locally and produce a dining experience that is not to be missed.

Wednesday to Sunday's 9am-5pm

Sunday sippers is held every 3rd Sunday of the month. With live music from
1-5pm, great food and people it is a supremely popular event not to be missed.

A special Sunday Sippers menu and platters are available on the day.
