Southern Anchorage Retreat is a beautiful accommodation retreat situated on the Great Ocean Road and just 20 minutes from the iconic Twelve Apostles.

It is a superb base for exploring the majestic Great Ocean Road and numerous local attractions- such as the Loch Ard Gorge, London Bridge, the Bay of Islands, the Otway Fly, Cape Otway Lighthouse, etc, etc, and also countless waterfalls, walks and lookouts. Many international visitors fall in love with our amazing retreat and use it as a base to enjoy our Australian bush- with regular visit by our Moonlight Head mob of kangaroos and amazing birdlife- with kookaburras memorable 'laugh' and rare birds such as boobook owls, gang gang cockatoos, crimson rosellas, yellow -tailed cockatoos, just to name a few.
Then within an easy stroll we have some spectacular walks surrounding us- including the amazing Great Ocean Walk- with 104 kms of pristine rainforest walk and coastal vistas just down the road. It is just an easy stroll to some of the most popular and scenic legs of the walk- including Ryans Den, Gables & Moonlight Head Lookouts and Wreck Beach!

Southern Anchorage Retreat boasts 3 luxury cottages- Fiji, Marie Gabrielle & Anchors as well as 2 suites - Coastal & Harbour.
Our cottages boast superb coastal and bush views and are fully self contained and are perfect for the extended stay. They contain everything you need- from woodfire, heated jacuzzis, luxurious bathrooms, well appointed kitchens to expansive decks, gardens and barbecues- all it's missing is you! Each cottage has spectacular panoramas with superb Australian nature surrounding you.
Our two suites are very popular to the overnight visitor to the Great Ocean Road- with comfort and breathtaking scenery welcoming you. They both share a commercial kitchen and dining/lounge area, but have their own bathroom ensuites and deck areas
