Welcome to The Boomerangs at Johanna on the Great Ocean Road offering 3 very special and very private romantic cottages. These are romantic cottages with a twist, featuring three, boomerang shaped cottages which are about Australian as you will find. In fact you won’t find anything like this anywhere else in the country. Three award winning, architect designed, boomerang shaped cottages offer guests something which is very much out of the ordinary. Set within three acres of stunning, landscaped gardens the cottages provide guests with superb views over the lush Johanna Valley, forests of the Great Otway National Park and of course views over the Great Southern Ocean. The cottages are very private and can accommodate four people comfortably, although we cater primarily to couples. Each cottage has two bedrooms, each with a queen size bed. For our guests’ comfort we supply only the best quality Australian bedding from MiniJumbuck. After all, a good night’s sleep is essential while on holiday!
Architecturally designed, the cottages blend in with the natural colours of the area. Birdlife is prolific and there are now numerous breeds of birds which call the gardens home. You can rest assured they will all be visiting your cottage on a regular basis.
This is a great spot for a few restful days away. Come down and put your feet up and just soak up the ambience of Johanna. Do nothing, go for long walks on the beach, visit some of our local attractions, go for short walks on the beach, have a barbecue, dine out at a local restaurant or the local tavern which is only 10 minutes away. Chef meals at pub prices! There is also the possibility for you to have a massage in the comfort of your own cottage. We recommend a stay of at least 2 nights – after all, you are staying right in the middle of the majestic Otways and you really should have a look around. Anything less will disappoint.
