Here at Gem Alpacas we offer Farm Visits
We are perfectly placed on the Main Highway from Christchurch to Queenstown for your 1 hour stop over to come and spend time with our Alpaca, Llama and friendly sheep.
Get in the paddocks with the Alpaca and Llama. See very clearly the difference between the two camelids species. At the right time of year you will also meet the cria (Baby Alpaca/Llama)
Heaps of time for photo's and a relaxing time just hanging out with our welcoming alpacas.
Our farm visits take approx. 1 hour and are dependent on weather.
Tour times
11am, 1pm & 3pm in Winter 1st June to 30th Sept
10 am, 12 pm, 2 pm, 4 pm in Summer 1st Oct to 31st May
If you don't pre-book, please phone us ahead of time so we know to expect you.
NB: We will not take tours when it is very cold, raining heavily or in strong winds.
