Cave Cruzer Adventures has been showcasing the sights here in Whitianga since 1999. We operate ex navy rescue RHIBS, so are arguably the safest vessel on the water. These boats are propelled by a jet unit, so no propeller means we can get you closer to those sights and gets you deep inside the sea caves and blowholes. It also affords 360 degree uninhibited views, so perfect for those photo shots!

We offer 2 tours, our short and sweet Express Tour which takes in the sights of Shakespeares Cliff and Lonely Bay before venturing inside Cooks Blowhole and then visiting the iconic Cathedral Cove. We visit Gemstone Bay with the Marine Reserve before going out to/through the Hole in the Rock at Poikeke Island. Taking 1 1/4 hours, this tour is ideal for those with time restrictions.

We also have our 2 1/2 hour Scenic & Sounds Experience. This includes all the sights seen on our shorter tour but continues along the coastline to Big Bay Blowhole. This is the much more impressive of the two blowholes as you weave your way through a tunnel so tight you can touch the side wall, before coming out inside the blowhole. We stop inside the Orua Sea Cave to showcase the great acoustics by playing some music and offering you the opportunity to make some of your own on the Conch Shell or Didgeridoo. This tour also takes time to stop for a 20 minute swim/snorkel with equipment provided. Never been snorkelling? Don't worry, your skipper will show you how and have you swimming amongst some of the fabulous marine life in the Marine Reserve.

We are licensed to view marine mammals, so there is always the chance that we will be lucky enough to see dolphin, orca, seals or penguin. We promise to show you the best that the bay has to offer on the day.
