The Dunes is a true golfing experience – bordering the tranquil Whangapoua Harbour and a beautiful 4km sandy Matarangi beach, the course is set in glorious surroundings, with sea and harbour views from most holes and the Coromandel Range and Castle Rock forming a spectacular backdrop.
It’s sand base provides the ideal all-weather facility and when combined with the challenging layout, the course is one every golfer should put on their bucket list. The Dunes is one of the most picturesque courses in New Zealand today. It will test even the very best and, if the golf is only average, the walk is still fantastic.
Our villas, all with lake views, face the 7th green on our championship golf course. Each villa is fully equipped for a weekend break or a longer stay to recharge your batteries. They come with all linen, a dishwasher, laundry, fridge and Sky television so you can watch the Super 15, All Black tests and Warriors’ games.
The Dunes Restaurant and Bar have stunning views over our beautiful golf course and the nearby Coromandel Range. We provide a relaxed, casual dining experience in a friendly atmosphere with delicious home cooked meals and our award winning chef Scott Corbett has updated our menu for this season using the freshest local ingredients.
