Hahei, on the eastern coast of the Coromandel Peninsula, is the home of Cathedral Cove, a stunning natural rock formation set between two sandy white coves, accessible only by track or sea. It’s a stunning piece of coastline that provides a mecca for New Zealand holiday makers and overseas visitors alike. The outlook is superb and there are countless things to do and see whether you’re budding adventurers or just want to relax and unwind.
As a member of the NZ Bed & Breakfast Association, we are quality assessed every 2 years, are self rated as 4.5 stars, are a member of the Coromandel Sustainable Tourism Group and are actively conscious of the need to recycle, replace and retain our natural environment.
Hahei Horizon Bed and Breakfast is our specially built modern guest accommodation.
Peter and Kay invite you to share our little piece of this special part of New Zealand.
Our home has been built on the hill overlooking the beautiful bay at Hahei.
Our two guest suites have stunning views of the village, the ocean and islands beyond. Choose between our queen or king/twin rooms, both equipped with ensuite, tea/coffee facilities, fridge, comfy chairs, tv/dvd, beach and spa towels, electric blankets, hair dryer and toiletries. They each have a private deck with table and chairs to sit at to savour the view or indulge in a little wine before strolling to one of two restaurants available for dining.
Partake of breakfast on the main deck (cooked or continental), an evening wine in the spa, and all with the sun, the views and the tuis' song.
Our well appointed Bach suite sleeps up to 3 people and includes breakfast upstairs on our main deck. Here there is a queen bed and 1 single, ensuite, kitchenette, private patio with a slice of sea view, and access to the spa - catering for those travelling with 3 people.
You will savour the peaceful surroundings and the convenience of having everything at your doorstep with the beach, village shops and 3 restaurants and the start of the famous Cathedral Cove walk just minutes away. Hahei offers swimming, snorkling, diving, kayaking, boating, walking and views to die for or drive 7 minutes to experience famous Hot Water Beach or take a day to explore the rest of the Coromandel Peninsula.
