Classic Sheepskins is a sheepskin tannery based in Napier, New Zealand. It is family owned and has been operating for over 45 years. We tan sheepskins and turn them into beautiful sheepskin rugs. But we don’t stop there. We continue the process onsite, making all sorts of beautiful products you and your family will love.
Our factory has an outlet shop onsite which is open 7 days. The shop sells a huge range of our sheepskin products including factory seconds and test products. A unique feature is we offer is FREE factory tours Monday - Saturday twice a day at 11am and 2pm. These tours don't require booking and you simply need to turn up 5min before at the shop. This tours gives you insight into how the tanning process works and shows the process a skin goes through to be made into a top quality product.
