For Moana Park it is about minimal
intervention. There are a few changes
we make and as with all high quality
wine it starts in the vineyard.
All the blocks
we draw fruit from are grown under
Sustainable
Viticulture; therefore we start the
process with fewer chemicals in our
wines. Both our vineyards and winery
are accredited through sustainable
winegrowing New Zealand.
All the Moana Park Wines are low
Sulphur, Vegan, Low Allergen and
Natural.
THE MOANA PARK PHILOSOPHY
We prefer to let nature determine the flavours
of our wines,which is another way of saying
that the only chemistry going on around here, is
out there, on the vines.
The vagaries of the seasons mean we can't say
for certain that we'll produce the same wines
from one year to the next .We think it's best to
let the quality of the grapes decide which ones
make into the bottle.
Unpredictable, but that is the way we like it .
You might say we are a little rebellious in our
disregard for the accepted ways of doing things.
But the long and short of it is that when it comes
to making wine,we believe,
the less interference from the meddlesome hand
of man, the better.
We have a very family friendly cellar door - somewhere you can taste our wines 7 days a week from 10am to 4.30pm. If you want to bring your own picnic there are tables and plenty of room here to enjoy with some of our wines. Tastings are $5 a head and it is better to book so we can give you the attention you would like when you are here with us.

We have a handful of weddings a year and it is one of the few venues that allows you to choose your caterers and as long as you have our wine for your special day the choices you make are up to you.
