Situated in the centre of Hawke's Bay wine country, Village Motel is just a short drive to over 30 world-famous wineries, Craggy Range, Black Barn, and Clearview Estate to name just a few. Cape Kidnappers gannet safaris can be organised to see the largest and most spectacular mainland nesting place of gannets in the world.
We have a network of Rotary cycleways stretching over 180km that are easy on the legs. Mostly off-road where you can see everything from mountain lookouts, beautiful lowland rivers, endangered wetland wildlife and the sweeping Hawke's Bay coastline. With numerous places to stop for great coffee, local ice cream and an abundance of winery cellar doors, where at many you can enjoy full meals or platters to die for.
