Mangwhai Lodge offers stylish relaxing accommodation with sea views at the small sea side town of Mangawhai Heads 80 minutes north of central Auckland and 2 hours south of the Bay of Islands in Northland New Zealand. We offer a choice of two self catering apartments ( with breakfast available as an optional extra) or two classic Bed & Breakfast rooms where breakfast is included in the tariff. B&B rooms do not have cooking facilities and share a lounge. We offer free WIFI and off Street Parking and are suitable for both short and longer stays.

The two B&B rooms both have sea views and open out onto private verandas with seating. The Beachcomber is a cosy room with a small en-suite and queen bed. The Clipper is more spacious and has a king/twin bed and a private bathroom. Both rooms have their own fridge and complimentary tea and coffee. The Heritage Apartment sleeps up to 4 people and has its own entrance, private veranda and sea views. It has a fully equipped kitchen and a bathroom with shower and separate toilet. The Par 3 is a one bedroom accessible apartment which sleeps a maximum of 3 people with a queen bed and a single bed, and a combined kitchenette/lounge, it has courtyard views.

Mangawhai Lodge has a café across the road and is a 5-10 minute walk to the small Shopping Centre with cafes and bars. There is walking access to the harbour at the bottom of the street and the Golf Course is across the road. Mangawhai Heads offers numerous day walks, several vineyards, fishing charters, galleries a museum and a chocolate factory. The local bird sanctuary is home to NZ's most endangered bird, The NZ Fairy Tern. Mangawhai's appeal is the estuarine harbour and white sandy beaches which provide a host of water activities and a relaxing lifestyle in a sub tropical climate.
