The medieval restaurant Olde Hansa is the home of a rich merchant, whose guests enjoy delicious, authentic Hansa-era meals and drinks, true period music and always friendly service. All of the dishes on the menu, including many wild game delicacies, are cooked using 15th century recipes and methods. Medieval musicians delight the guests every night of the week except Mondays.

All our meals are carefully crafted by our Executive award-winning Chef Wille from 15th century documents recipes, only using ingredients that were available during that period. The restaurant is located within a 3-storey World Heritage protected medieval building that was home to wealthy merchants of the same period to which Olde Hansa pays homage.

Olde Hansa depicts a time of Tallinn’s wealthy merchants - between 1475 - 1492 - when there were no wars, no famine, no plague and Reval (the original name for Tallinn) was a prosperous trading and transit city. It was a real golden age and there was no social gathering without a plentiful feast table; and with an array of tasty drinks - including the famous honey beer and multiple flavoured Schnapps - a meal with us will be one filled with delicious dishes, succulent meats, tasty beers - all served in a warm, cozy and friendly atmosphere that is Olde Hansa.
