June 6, 1944. Thousands of American soldiers storm Utah Beach to engage in a pitched battle. But this is only the beginning… Over the next several months, Utah Beach will remain a linchpin of Allied strategic planning. Today, the Utah Beach D-Day Museum honors the memory of these men. Built atop the ruins of German bunkers, the Museum offers sweeping views of Utah Beach and features 22,600 sq. ft. of interactive exhibits highlighting an exceptional collection of artifacts, vehicles, and equipment. Numerous oral histories allow visitors to share the emotional experience of the battle
that changed the tide of history. Entirely renovated in 2011, the Utah Beach D-Day Museum now houses one of the world’s last remaining B26 “Marauders,” the legendary bomber that would prove to be one of the keys to victory on D-Day.
