Husavik Museum focuses on the history of Thingeyjarsyslur district over the last 100 years; how people lived and worked on the farms and at sea. There are two permanent exhibitions in the museum: Daily life and nature - 100 years in Thingeyjarsyslur and a maritime exhibition. There are also many temporary exhibitions held throughout the year. In addition, the museum contains the local archives and a large collection of photographs. In the museum, there is a playroom for children, a gift shop and a coffee shop.
