I am a certified private driver guide in Reykjavik, Iceland, and I am offering all kinds of custom-made day tours and multiple day tours. What would that be?
I do of course the most popular tour - the Golden Circle tour with national park Thingvellir, geothermal area Geysir and golden waterfall Gullfoss.
Are you interested in seeing glaciers, volcanoes and waterfalls? In that case I take you to on a long day tour to see some of the most famous the glaciers, volcanoes and waterfalls, e.g. waterfalls Skogafoss and Seljalandsfoss, volcano Eyjafjallajokull (erupted in 2010 stopping all the air traffic), glacier Myrdalsjokull with volcano Katla beneath the ice and the black beach Reynisfjara.
I can also take you all the way to the glacier lagoon Jokulsarlon with the icebergs on the beach, sometimes called the Diamond Beach. This is a multiple day tour but can also be done in one very long day. Optional to join a separate sailing tour on the lagoon at extra price if the tours are running. Or to join an ice cave tour if they are running.
If you are more interested in off the beaten track I can take you to the west coast of Iceland, exploring the national park Snaefellsjokull with a glacier, volcanoes, lava fields, craters, blow holes, coast line, waterfalls, mountains, villages etc. Another option on the west coast is a tour to a different area of the west coast with waterfalls Barnafoss and Hraunfossar, lava field, the biggest geyser in Europe called Deildartunguhver and then finally to join (optional) a separate tour to go into the ice tunnel in glacier Langjokull or on a tour into a lava cave at extra price.
A great day tour is the Moon-Like Landscape tour where we take frequent stops (not driving so much) seeing lava fields and craters, crossing the tectonic plates, the place where the Mid-Atlantic Ridge rises out of the sea, mountains, lakes, geothermal areas, the Atlantic, geothermal power plants, birds in summer etc. The diversity is incredible!
Last but not least, I offer easy mountain hikes in Reykjavik.
