Reykjavík Art Museum is situated in three different buildings in the city center:
Hafnarhús – Contemporary art
The old warehouse offers a progressive exhibition program with local and international artists presented in six galleries. Hafnarhús is the home to the works of Erró, a significant player in the international pop art scene. Museum shop & Café. Open daily.

Kjarvalsstaðir – Architectural gem
Named after the beloved Icelandic painter Kjarval - Kjarvalsstaðir was built over his extensive collection and as an exhibition venue for modern and contemporary art. Inspired by Nordic modernist the museum building faces a large city park, with an interesting museum shop and a café. Open daily.

Ásmundarsafn – Utopian artist’s studio
The sculptor Ásmundur Sveinsson designed, worked and lived in this beautiful building. The white dome structure is surrounded by sculptures and inside Sveinsson’s work is on view, often along with the works of other artists. Open daily.
