Located in the lush natural landscape at the foot of a mountain, the former hydroelectric power station “Antonio Pitter” is a charming example of industrial architecture dating back to the early 20th century. It has now been transformed into a museum where visitors can see the well-preserved original machinery and the control room.
The museum tells of the life of an impressive example of industrial archaeology, from the history of the valley to the building of the power station and its decommissioning. Through the well-preserved machinery and an exhibition on workers’ tools, the museum provides a wide vision of the human and working values that are still pervasive today.
The museum also organises didactical activities for schools.
Opening hours:
From March to September: Sunday 10:00am – 6:00pm
[Open on booking for groups and schools on other days and months]
