Our family took over the property in 1972 and made it one of the landmarks in the hospitality industry of Monte Amiata.
It is our pleasure to be attentive to your needs and making sure your stay is memorable and enjoyable.
Today as ever we are ready to to do our utmost for every stay. Our hotel is located at 1400 metres above sea level, right in front of the ski slopes on a clearing overlooking the summit of Mount Amiata, surrounded by the largest beech forest in Italy.
Completely renovated, the rooms are decorated in Tuscan mountain style. Each bathroom has a shower and hair dryer and is furnished in a rustic style.

We take pride in our restaurant, offering dishes prepared with food grown and produced on the farms in the region, including our world-famous mushroom soup.
The wine list has a selection of wines from the most important wine areas of Tuscany, of which Monte Amiata is the emerald crown.
Breakfast is buffet style where you will find breads of various types, meats, jams, cheese, yogurt, along with croissants, pastries and homemade cakes.
We now have available a new relaxation area with sauna, jacuzzi, sun shower and small gym. For younger children there is a large games room, for the older kids there is a Wii with numerous games.
We provide an internet point as well as free Wi-Fi.
Le Macinaie in Autunno
The meeting room is equipped with an audio and video system and flip chart, and has a maximum capacity of 60 people. All necessary facilities are available on request.
Thanks to our own passion, Le Macinaie is the perfect base for motorcyclists and cyclists to whom we provide maps with gps routes. We have at your disposal a small garage and a workshop for emergency repairs in addition to all the information needed to better enjoy this part of Italy.
The area is ideal for trekking, with over 215 km of trails. We provide maps of the routes, including an orienteering map. For fans of Nordic Walking, we have lessons and guides available to you.
From May to October we have a bike rental service (available free for our guests).
We have a bar area with a fireplace .
