Tutto ha origine da una parola: "Mahalo"​: nella cultura Hawaiana vuol dire gratitudine, apprezzamento, ringraziamento; gratitudine come stile di vita. Essere grati ogni giorno per le ricchezze che possediamo e che rendono l’esistenza così preziosa.
Entrando da Mahalo vi sembrerà di immergervi in una serra tropicale nel pieno centro della foresta alle pendici del vulcano Kīlauea. Una vegetazione dirompente che si fa largo tra i vetri e inonda un ambiente accogliente predominato da colori e forme che ricordano l’oceano Pacifico.
