West Coast
This tour includes a visit to the famous Scala dei Turchi, we will walk on the fine and golden sand of Punta Grande beach appreciating the cliffs that precedes it. After visiting the Scala we will continue through to the nature reserve of Torre Salsa, this reserve is famous for its white beaches protected by the WWF for the presence of the Caretta Caretta turtles laying eggs here during the breeding season. If the weather conditions are unfavorable, alternatively, we will visit the picturesque old village of Caltabellotta (famous for the extra virgin olive oil). Here we will explore the medieval village visiting the amazing cathedral built by Normans and we will be going up to the famous San Pellegrino Hermitage.
Then we will move to Burgio famous for its ceramics and for its Capuchin convent where we will visit the famous "catacombs“.
