A Zafferana, on "Etna wine road" and must passage to reach the East side of the volcano, is situated the Costa Farm ORO d'Etna.
The honey, fruit traditionally of Etna, thus beekeeping is since 25 years the main activity of ORO d' Etna. In more recent times, the passion poured on its vineyard of 5 hectares, has enabled the Costa family to engage in the production of excellent wines that can boast the prestigious initials Etna Doc.
A wonderful opportunity to savor the full genuineness of nature in respect of the Sicilian traditions.
To our visitors, we reserve a thorough overview of the fascinating world of the bees, with the possibility to view them live, to assist at the extraction of honey and taste the products of the hive.
In the same building we have a "Cellar Rustic" where our guests are invited to taste the best wines of Etna and the excellent oils obtained using the most ancient production techniques; the typical preserves, treasure of the best Sicilian traditions, all in an evocative atmosphere surrounded by a beautiful lava rock wall of 1792.

A Zafferana Etnea, sulla “strada del vino dell’Etna” e passaggio d'obbligo per raggiungere il versante Est del vulcano, ha sede l’Azienda agricola Costa ORO d'Etna.
Il miele, tradizionalmente frutto dell'Etna, quindi l'apicoltura, è da 25 anni la principale attività di ORO d'Etna. In tempi più recenti la passione riversata sul proprio vigneto di 5 ettari ha permesso alla famiglia Costa di cimentarsi nella produzione di eccellenti vini che possono fregiarsi della prestigiosa sigla Etna Doc.
Una imperdibile occasione per assaporare a pieno la genuinità della natura nel rispetto delle tradizioni siciliane.
Ai nostri visitatori riserviamo una approfondita panoramica sull'affascinante mondo delle api, con la possibilità di visionarle dal vivo, di assistere all'estrazione del miele e degustare i prodotti dell'alveare.
Nelle stessa struttura disponiamo di una “Cantina Rustica” dove i nostri ospiti sono invitati a degustare i migliori vini etnei e gli eccellenti oli, ottenuti sfruttando le più antiche tecniche di produzione; le tipiche conserve, tesoro delle migliori tradizioni siciliane, il tutto in un suggestivo ambiente contornato da una splendida parete in roccia lavica del 1792.
