The CGN (Compagnie Générale de Navigation sur le lac Léman – General Company for Navigation on Lake Geneva) is the largest navigation company in French-speaking Switzerland. It has become a key player in mobility for the Lake Geneva region, notably due to its services to and from France. Its Belle Epoque paddle steamer fleet is an invaluable asset not only from a historical point of view, but also for the tourism image of the entire lakeside region.
CGN offers boat trips on the Lake of Geneva from 35 ports in Switzerland and France and have a total of 19 boats, from which 8 are historical paddle steamer boats ( steam or diesel). This is the largest fleet of historical boats worldwide.
CGN has an important choice of cruises, ranging from a 1 hour sightseeing trip up to one-day cruises between Lausanne and Geneva.
Cruises operate mainly from april to october, but CGN also offers year round boat trips between Lausanne and Evian or Thonon as well as from Nyon to Yvoire.
The main embarcation points are : Geneva, Lausanne, Montreux, Vevey, Nyon , Yvoire, Thonon, Evian.
On the larger boats ( historical boats) they also offer the possibility for lunch or dinner cruises with a large choice of food and drinks.
