Eile Mental Activity Park, Co. Galway, Ireland, offers excitement and adventure in a healthy, fun and safe outdoor setting for families, businesses, clubs, schools, kid's birthdays and stags and hen parties.

We conduct our activities in both Irish and English and our games are themed to highlight Ireland’s unique language, culture, heritage and history. Our activities are intended to challenge both mentally and physically and our combat games are based on Ireland's vast martial history and encourage and motivate computer gamers to move away from their consoles to live action gaming and maybe learn a little history too. Our game zones are ideally suited to outdoor sports too. Long grasses and heathers, rocky outcroppings, rolling hills, a forested area and scenic views over Galway bay and Lough Corrib, all combine to make your experience memorable and above all, fun.

All our instructors are Garda (Irish Police) vetted and professionally trained to industry standards and our activities are fully insured.

OUR ACTIVITIES

ECOMBAT LASER TAG™ Fancy “taking out” your work colleagues, your school friends, your mates or your family? ECombat is an exciting outdoor laser combat game for players aged 10 and over. All hits are projected and received using harmless infra red lasers and radio frequencies. The gaming systems guns are modeled on modern weapons including MP7’s, P90’s, M4’s, Sniper Rifles and Squad Assault Weapons (SAWs) and reflect the range, rate of fire and accuracy of the individual weapon and are designed to function in all weathers. Call of Duty, Modern Warfare and Battlefield computer gamers will be familiar with these weapons and their employment e.g. a sniper rifle is not of much use in clearing a bunker. Teams are given multiple Irish historically based scenarios to challenge them!

PAINTBALL is a projectile based gaming simulation for ages 14 and over and is played on site in its recreational (Woodsball) format. To maintain enjoyment and safety for all, players must adhere to strict game safety rules. As in ECombat™, teams are given multiple Irish historically based scenarios and tasks to complete. Enjoyment with an OUCH … for the big one’s only!

ARCHERY is one of the oldest martial sports in the world and is also an Olympic sport. A recurve bow … a target 10m away … and a steady hand will be required for this challenging and enjoyable activity. Budding Robin Hoods and Katniss Everdeen's needed for this one! For ages 10 and over.

DISK GOLF Eile Mental is proud to host Ireland’s first disk golf course. Contestants use disks to complete the course on a par based system. Just get the disk into the basket. Sounds simple enough… right? Not quite. Disks vary in weight depending on their function, driver, fairway iron, putter etc. Use the wrong disk, at the wrong time, in the wrong conditions and you could be saying “play through” … a lot! Unlike “old school” golf with clubs however, no expensive club membership fees here.


ORIENTEERING is the sport of getting immersed in nature (sometimes literally) and finding your way around … without getting lost in the process! Teams will compete to complete the course in the allotted times. Teamwork, stamina and applied intelligence will be needed for this fun activity. Time to test those map reading skills! Ages 10 and over.
