Dhu Varren Garden has an extensive collection of rare and unusual plants from around the world in 2.5 acres with new plants being added continually. Converted from an old farm holding, the garden has been developed since 2000 with areas landscaped to create the correct environments for the plants. The relatively mild climate in Co. Kerry facilitates the growing of exciting plants from around the world which are not usually grown at this latitude. Two large greenhouses have been constructed to house more tender plants.

A large Koi pond is the centrepiece of the Japanese Garden and fish can be enjoyed from the adjacent teahouse, arched bridge or raised formal deck, which gives the visitor spectacular views of the garden. The garden is accessible by wooden and natural stone pathways and has numerous places to sit and enjoy its tranquil atmosphere.

Many plants are labelled but if not, Mark and Laura are always available to answer any questions.
