Located in a historic Laguna Beach 1934 bungalow along scenic Pacific Coast Highway, Selanne Steak Tavern is an upscale contemporary tavern and steakhouse, co-owned by ice hockey legend and past Olympian Teemu Selanne and local businessman Kevin Pratt. The look of the restaurant features a fresh interpretation of classic residential Laguna Beach-style, infused with elements of personalized whimsy and lightness. And, it has become a much-loved dining destination for locals and Southern California travelers to celebrate fine food, distinguished spirits and award-winning wines.

The tavern is distinguished by handsome furnishings such as zinc-topped tables, leather-clad banquettes and French-bistro style wood chairs. An adjacent wine room features large photographs of sun-splashed Southern California, lending to an open, airy ambiance. The upstairs dining area is a more formal atmosphere, and the outdoor patio features dramatic all-white pierced Moroccan light fixtures. Guests feast on prime aged steaks, chops and just-caught seafood accompanied by classic steakhouse sauces, robust seasonal accompaniments and housemade desserts. Some specialties include Wagyu Beef Tartare from Snake River Farms, Pacific Diver Scallops, Chef’s Daily Selection of Artisanal Cheese and Fine Cured Charcuterie, Skuna Bay Salmon, and the Chef’s Signature Lord Stanley Cut 38 oz. The award-winning beverage program at Selanne Steak Tavern has garnered recognition from Wine Spectator magazine, Santé and the Golden Foodie Awards. An impressive “Libations List” features rare and unique global wine choices by the bottle and glass and in large bottle formats for very special celebrations.
