Our friendly, professional staff is handpicked for their knowledge of the area and unique personalities.

Colorado Jeep Tours offer interpretive tours that take you back in time as your guide shares unforgettable knowledge of western history, which may include mining, local Indian folklore, and prospecting during the time of early settlers. Children of all ages will be awed by the Jurassic history as well as the geological formations that are found in the Cañon City area. Whether we drive you along the rim of the famous Royal Gorge or take you on an adventure to explore the bright red monoliths of Red Canyon Park, you are sure to experience Colorado in a breathtaking way. All our tours offer the chance to see Colorado wildlife, which may include bighorn sheep, mule deer, an occasional bear, or a variety of smaller animals that call Colorado home. All tours accommodate most ages and abilities.

Royal Gorge Loop Half Day (departs twice daily)
This awe-striking tour literally puts you on the edge of one of Colorado's most unique attractions. With special access to drive across the Royal Gorge Bridge, you will be able to look down steep canyon walls that plunge nearly 1,000 feet down toward the Arkansas River. Off road trails and private roads escort you to this attraction in a way that most visitors will never see. Before returning to base, you will travel to the highest point of your trip where you will take in views of Pike’s Peak, the Sangre de Cristo Mountains, and the Eastern Plains of Colorado. Very few people have been determined enough to hike to this view, much less to have the opportunity to be driven to it. On our way back down into Cañon City, we will stop to explore dinosaur tracks left from prehistoric times. This is a great trip for the whole family.

Royal Gorge Loop Full Day
If you are looking for the experiences of the Royal Gorge Loop, but with more adventure to fill your day, the Royal Gorge Loop Full Day is the trip for you. Not only will you drive across the Royal Gorge Bridge, but you will also climb to "Overlook Arch". Your trip has only begun as you wind your way through the bright red rock of the Fountain Formation, the same red rock formation that made the Garden of the Gods and Red Rocks Amphitheater famous. This tour will also travel past the Marsh and Cleveland Quarry sites to see where thousands of dinosaur bones have been excavated over the last 140 years. Before returning to base, your jeep will pass by Indian petroglyphs and the site of Colorado’s first oil well. The Full Day Royal Gorge Loop also includes lunch.

Red Canyon Half Day (departs twice daily)
Have your camera ready as you encounter rich parts of Colorado history while your Jeep meanders through bright red towering spires and monoliths sculpted by the wind and water erosion of our Rocky Mountain high altitude desert. You will visit the Garden Park Fossil Area famous for the excavation of many complete dinosaur skeletons such as the Stegosaurus that is currently on display at the Smithsonian as well as the Brontosaurus that is currently on display at the Wagner Free Institute of Philadelphia. The Red Canyon Tour climbs from the desert valley floor, through groves of junipers and cedars, and reaches picturesque views at nearly every turn. A very short hike gives you a chance to stretch your legs and peek through “Overlook Arch” that spans high above Shaw Park. The tour would not be complete without the chance to study dinosaur tracks, Indian petroglyphs, and more unforgettable views of Colorado's unique terrain. It is not uncommon to see wildlife such as mule deer, turkeys and an occasional bear throughout the tour. This tour, with its plethora of historical value and curious dinosaur stories, is one that all ages will enjoy.

Gold Belt Tour
The Gold Belt Tour follows the old Cripple Creek and Florence Railroad route, which was built in 1894, and winds its way up through many abandoned mines as well as one state of the art gold mining operation still producing today, the CC&V Gold Mining Company. This scenic 75 mile excursion will climb to an elevation of almost 11,000 feet and is packed with mining history and extraordinary views. Your jeep will travel through America's Greatest Gold Camp where more than 500 gold mines produced over 21 million ounces of gold, more than both the California and Alaska Gold Rushes combined. Lunch is included in the fascinating mountain town of Victor, Colorado.

Combine your Jeep Tour with whitewater rafting, wine tasting, a train ride, or zip lining for a unique CO vacation.
