Halfmoon Packing & Outfitting is a four season wilderness guide and outfitter located in Leadville, Colorado,we are east of Vail and south of Frisco. We offer the regions visitors a more rural experience than our resort neighbors. Our passion lies in sharing the outdoor life style with our guests. Summer offerings include one hour to all day horseback rides, wagon rides, stagecoach rides, along with multi day wilderness pack trips, featuring the most spectacular mountain views in the area. These trips are most often created based on the clients specific desires with options for fishing, riding, and photography.
There are several fishing opportunities including horseback trips to high mountain lakes, wake and wade trips on the Eagle River as well as both walk and wade and boat trips on both Turquoise and Twin Lakes.
In the fall we provide big game hunting services for elk, deer, bear, mountain lion, moose and antelope in GMUs 45, 48, and 49. Our drop camps are the most complete you'll ever find and the guides are both experienced and friendly.
