It looks like something from a science fiction movie when you see a daredevil on what looks like a skateboard, hovering several feet above the water. But the future is here at SoFlo Flyboarding, and that daredevil could easily be you. You don't need experience, you don't need to be a skateboarder, and you really don't even need to be a swimmer. After strapping your feet into the heavy but buoyant apparatus attached to a jet ski by what looks like a fire hose, you get into the water and then the jet ski's skillful and helpful operator controls the force, at your direction, that lifts your feet and the rest of you out of the water and up into the air as high as you feel comfortable with. At first, it may be difficult just to keep your eyes up, but by the time your 25 minute session is over, you should be floating with relative ease. With enough practice, you can achieve a height of 40 feet or so, and execute a move called the dolphin, in which you dive under the water, emerge to soar through the air a few feet, then dive again, and so on.
