Stately Oaks is a plain Greek Revival antebellum home in the land of "Gone With the Wind." The historic grounds are home to the main house, Juddy's Country Store, one-room Bethel Schoolhouse, Aunt Lucy's Kitchen and much more.
The historic community is open for guided tours Monday - Saturday, 10:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m. Tours begin on the hour with the last tour beginning at 3:00 p.m. Tours may vary; visitors will either enjoy a CD tour or a costumed docent will guide visitors through the home.
Admission: $12 Adult / $6 Children 5-11 / $9 Seniors 55 and over / $9 Military rate with ID / $10 AAA rate with card / $8 Group Rate with 15 or more persons with a reservation / Children under 5 are admitted free. We accept cash, checks, Mastercard, VISA, Discover and travelers’ checks.
To fully enjoy your stay, allow at least 1-½ to 2 hours at our historic community. The guided house tour lasts from 45 minutes to an hour. You can spend additional time strolling through the grounds and doing the self-guided tour of the other buildings.
The first floor of the main house and the schoolhouse are equipped with handicapped-accessible ramps. We have a book of pictures with text for anyone who does not want to go upstairs in the house.
The Bethel Schoolhouse is also available for group rentals for socials such as showers, lunches, or dinners. Please contact our office for details.
