Waterloo Bicycle Works is a bicycle shop for everyone! We do all of the things a bike shop does (service and repair, sell part and accessories, sell new and used bicycles, etc) and also have a gift shop where we sell handmade items like tea towels, aprons, cards, art, locally authored books and CDs, hair accessories, bags, shirts, etc. We also have a selection of books on topics such as bicycles, activism, cookbooks, and more.
Maybe most importantly, we have rental bikes! Rentals are $15 for half day (4 hours) and $25 for full day (8 hours). They come with the use of a helmet and lock.
We strive to make everyone who enters our shop feel welcome.
Waterloo Bicycle Works is located in downtown Waterloo, Iowa. There are a lot of attractions near us: center for the arts, museums, amphitheater with free live music every other Friday during the summer, farmers market, public theater, hockey rink, wrestling museum, kids pavilion, many restaurants and bars, coffee shops, brewery, and more.
We also have an apartment available for rent above the bike shop that is listed on AirBnB.
