MainStrasse Village is an historic neighborhood with a diverse mix of restaurants, shops, entertainment and old world charm. Goebel Park is located at 6th & Philadelphia Street. It has the Carroll Chimes Bell Tower, picnic shelters, a gazebo and a Tot Lot playground
Various historical markers are displayed throughout the village, including one for Haven Gillespie who wrote "Santa Claus is Coming to Town".
The Goose Girl Fountain, located at the center of the Village was inspired by the German Grimm's fairy tale entitled "The Goose Girl", and signifies the area's German heritage as well as the history of farmers who raised geese in the Covington area,.The Fountain is the main gathering point for many festivals and events including, Maifest, Goettafest, Oktoberfest, the MainStrasse Village Bazaar, Classic Car shows, a Dog Costume Pawrade, the World's Longest Yard Sale and Holiday events.
The tree-lined streets and cobblestone walkways of MainStrasse Village along with the shops, restuarants, festivals, antique markets and other events keep MainStrasse Village bustling with good times and good memories.
