About Us
I would like to invite you to my restaurant to enjoy a truly unique dining experience.
I arrived from Cassino, Italy, in 1949. I knew then that my passion was food and my future would be in the restaurant industry.
My first endeavor was Gregg’s pizzeria in Detroit, Michigan, which is still in business today. My true longing was to open an authentic Italian restaurant with old world recipes using only the finest ingredients.
On a cold, snowy January day in 1985, I realized my dream and Picano’s Italian Grille was opened with one goal in mind. “To provide a true Italian dining experience”
Homemade is the essential ingredient. We specialize in house-made ravioli, gnocchi, lasagna and garlic rolls as well as many other specialty dishes created by acclaimed chef William Hall.
We also offer an extensive wine list featuring some of the most exquisite wines from Italy, Napa Valley and other countries around the world sure to please the most discerning pallet.
Interested in sports or the stock market? Visit our lounge with four big-screen TVs that keep you up to date with the latest sports and business happenings.
At Picano’s, we also offer three different private dining rooms for your business meeting or special occasion that can accommodate from 15 to 100 people with no room charge.
Having a special event at your home or office? Picano’s will bring their exceptional food and professional staff to your home or office complete with dishes, linens and all the extras for a successful event.
