The Rentschler Farm Museum interprets a family farm of the 1930s-1950s. The buildings go back to the turn of the century, but the interpretation is that of the Depression Era. On Saturdays, volunteers offer tours of the 12-room farmhouse that is reminiscent of Queen Anne style architecture. The outbuildings, including a large dairy and sheep barn, ice house, hog house, and various equipment barns are all fully furnished with vintage tools.
During the summer months, sheep, pigs, chickens, and geese live at the farm. The garden is maintained by master gardeners. On Tuesdays, the Farmers' Market take place here from 3pm-7pm.
During the summer and early fall, the farm is open Saturdays 11am - 3pm and is free for family visits. Groups require a reservation and there is a fee. Visit our website for information about events that take place here at the farm.
