The Saline Depot Museum is housed in an authentic 1870s depot that was restored in 1990. The architectural style is that of the late Victorian period. The depot was dedicated as a museum on Jul 4, 1995 and accepted to the National Historic Register. On site is an 1830s livery barn that originally housed animals that were stabled, traded, or available for sale. Behind the livery barn and mounted above a wooden tower is a 10 foot wooden wheel of a restored Fairbanks Morse Windmill.

Or 1906 caboose was "home away from home" for trainmen. Small beds, toilet and potbelly stove provided all the comforts of home. The caboose is fully furnished and visitors may walk through this historic vehicle. A walking trail invites visitors to follow along the railroad tracks for a short distance.

The depot museum is open every Saturday, weather permitting, 11am - 3pm. Family visits are free. Groups require an appointment and there is a fee.
