Schell's Brewery is the second longest owned family operated brewery in the United States and longest in Minnesota. August Schell started it all when he came to the states and couldn't find a good German beer. In 1860, he decided that the only way to find a good beer was to make his own and the rest is history.

Today, Schell's is owned and operated by the 5th and 6th generations and continues to make innovative styles of craft beer, specifically German lagers. At the brewery, there is a museum full of rich brewing history, tours, beautiful gardens, and so much more. Tours are offered daily from Memorial Day to Labor Day. Weekday tours are at 1:00, 2:30, and 4:00. Saturday tours are at 12:00, 1:00, 2:00, 3:00, and 4:00. Sunday tours are at 1:00, 2:00, 3:00, and 4:00. The Gift Shop is open daily from 11:00am-5:00pm. Come visit the historic brewery, meet our peacocks, and have yourself a cold beer or two!
