Founded by passionate parents and educators, Lincoln Children’s Museum is led today by an internal team dedicated to its core mission and to the children in the community. Our staff works hard to create an inviting place so that the moment children of all ages and backgrounds walk in our door, they feel the exciting pull of playtime. Here children’s curiosity and creativity are unlimited. Laughter can be loud. Silliness is expected. Hands-on is encouraged. These sights and sounds mean magical things are happening: cognitive learning, emotional growth, social development and skill building. That’s the power of play. Exhibits, events, daily programs, classes and camps are all specially designed to elevate early childhood education. Fun is not just for children. Grownups can join in or simply enjoy watching their children create, discover, learn and play. We love to be a resource for families. A place that houses a large variety of exhibits. A place for fun and family time. A place where messes can be made. A place where memories grow with children. The Museum is constantly evolving in order to provide fresh, dynamic learning and playing opportunities. As a non-profit organization, we reinvest earnings from admissions, memberships, sponsorships and donors right back into the Museum and toward our Have a Heart program, which subsidizes memberships for income-qualified
families. We are proud and passionate about our community Museum, about the incredible power of play, and about helping families create memories that last a lifetime.
