MENU:
 Harlem Shake features a menu designed by Kenji Lopez-Alt, celebrity food writer and author of “The Food Lab”;
 All of the burgers made with custom blend by Pat la Frieda , owned by celebrity butcher Mark Pastore
 NY-style, all-beef hot dogs, chicken sandwiches and grilled cheese/melts and entrée-size salads, hand cut fries, and homemade desserts round up the menu.
 We use exclusively locally made Blue Marble Ice Cream for our hand-spun 100% organic milkshakes and malts.
Our signature shake is The Harlem Shake, made with Red Velvet Cake.
 A selection of vintage cane sugar sodas (Mexican Coca Cola, Mexican Pepsi) and regional specialty sodas from around the U.S.A+, including Vernor’s Detroit Ginger Ale, Big Red Cream Soda, Cheerwine Cherry Soda and Foxon Park Birch Beer.

DESIGN:
 “Familiar & Friendly” are the two words that best describe the Harlem Shake ambiance. Harlem Shake pays homage to the Harlem of old.
 Designed to feel as if it has been a beloved neighborhood institution for generations, The space, which was imagined as a dry good store that was built in the late 1800s until becoming a diner in the 1940s, reflects the authenticity of years gone by.
 Partially restored original features: tobacco and water leak-stained tin ceiling and the non-glazed hexagonal tiled floor, juxtaposed with the Formica-striped wainscoting, chrome, ribbed glass and deep green vinyl covered booths typical for a 1940’s-1980’s diner.
 True retro Harlem style : Above the entrance on W. 124th Street, the wrap-around black metal signing is surrounded by blinking green and white bulbs, in The building’s original brick corner – hidden for years – has been exposed
 Even the bathrooms play into the old-school diner feel, with an all-out 1940’s-style renovation complete with vintage sea foam green toilet, sink and urinal, vintage foot pedal-operated white enameled hand dryer and original JET magazine covers from the 1950’s through today, outlining important people and historical moments in African-American history.
 As guests enter the restaurant, they are greeted with “Miss Harlem Shake,” Harlem Shake’s customer elected beauty queen, showcased full-body
