Founded in 1997, the museum is located in the former New York Central freight house built between 1905-1906. It is the longest wooden structure ever built by NYC Systems and measures over 300 feet long.
There are over 7,000 artifacts on display, covering the history of railroads from early steam era up to the modern age.
There are also displays of fire fighting equipment, ships, boats, airplanes and more.
Our model train layout is in HO Scale and measures 204ft long by 14ft wide. It is the largest operating layout in New York State.
Train excursions are also available, please check our website for our schedule. Trains do not run everyday.
