Located atop historic Harris Hill in Elmira, NY, which is known as the Soaring Capital of America, the National Soaring Museum is the official archive of the Soaring Society of America and home to one of the largest collection of gliders and sailplanes in the world, the U. S. Soaring Hall of Fame and an impressive collection of soaring artifacts. In addition to its large collection of gliders and sailplanes, the museum also features rotating special exhibits throughout the year, such as Art, Photography, Quilting, Embroidery, Firearms and Dollhouses. The museum is open daily 10-5 in March through December, and open Wednesday through Sunday 10-4 in January and February. Adults $7.50, Seniors $6.50, Youth (7-18) $4.50 and Children 6 and under, free.
