In 1999, Merchants Hospitality opened South West New York in downtown Manhattan. Serving contemporary Southwestern cuisine, South West New York offers a menu influenced by the savory seasonings of Mexico and Latin America. Menu favorites include mahi mahi and carne asada tacos, cedar-planked Atlantic salmon, Angus beef steak burgers and abundant salads. Meals are complimented by our signature Margaritas, 16oz Mojitos and extensive wine and beer lists.

A warm and inviting oasis in Battery Park City, the restaurant blends modern Southwestern design with sleek industrial elements. Huge skylights and a 10 foot long metal clad fire place define the room, and reclaimed wood is featured in both bar and dining room. The restaurant offers private and semi-private dining areas, as well as an outdoor café with a retractable awning for extra cover and a garden that is heated for cool nights. The lively bar is the perfect spot to catch your favorite sports events on our big screen TV.

South West New York can accommodate private parties from 10 to 300 guests. For catered affairs in your office or residence, choose from a pre-selected Party Menu or create your own signature event from our menus.
