Adams County Winery has been making wine for 42 years. During that time, our business has grown into a nationally recognized producer of award-winning wines. Nestled against the South Mountains and overlooking Gettysburg, we have an ideal climate for growing grapes that, in turn, make our quality wines. We offer a fun, family friendly, inviting, and casual atmosphere where anyone – locals and visitors alike – can relax, taste some wine, and feel at home. Whether you’re a wine connoisseur or a complete newcomer, we invite you to visit. The Farm Winery is open every day except Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s Day. In addition, we just opened a location at the Markets of Hanover, which is open Thursdays and Fridays from 9 am – 7 pm and Saturday from 8 am – 4 pm. Don’t miss our downtown Gettysburg location, 25C. Our goal is to help you enjoy the wine experience and provide you with quality wines and friendly customer service!
We pride ourselves on having wine that everyone can enjoy. Our two most popular wines, Tears of Gettysburg and Rebel Red, are on the sweeter side. Then we have wines like Stray Cat Strut and Riesling, which are in the mid-range of the sweetness level. On the dry side, we have robust reds like Turning Point, as well as crisp dry whites like Chardonnay. Our fruit wines are also popular, from the sweet cranberry apple Scrapple to Yankee Blue blueberry and Black Magic blackberry.
When you visit a winery, you want to relax and enjoy some great wine. At Adams County Winery, you’ll never feel rushed, even on a busy event day. We take the time to know you and recommend wines that you’ll love. We’ll even carry your case to your car. Bring the whole family. We have plenty of non-alcoholic drinks for the kids. Your pets are welcome outside and tend to have a great time during our concerts. Rusty, our Golden Retriever and winery mascot, will be glad to say hi!
There are so many things to do at Adams County Winery! Check out all our various events, or just come for a free wine tasting. The events are always changing but we have free wine tastings every day! In addition to our delicious wines and fun events, we also offer tours of our facilities and venues for celebrations of all kinds.
