Visit a working Vermont family farm. Free samples of 15 varieties of cheese, 4 grades of pure Vermont maple syrup made at the farm, Vermont jams, mustards, and meats. Visit the maple sugar house and learn from displays and video how trees are tapped in the early spring and maple sap boiled into maple syrup. Nature walk into the maple woods to see how plastic tubing has replaced many sap buckets. Actual production of maple syrup is late February, March and sometimes early April but visitors can learn the process all eyar long. Watch cheese being hand packaged in wax for safe travel. Shipping available. Farm animals to interact with during the warmer months of the year. Picnic area and safe for children to run around. Dog friendly outside.
