Gladwin Beach House is located on the North Shore of Hood Canal; the sunny side of the Canal. You may see flocks of ducks and water birds, a heron fishing for dinner, or still blue waters under blue skies.
Come experience this charming log cabin. Gladwin House was built over 100 years ago as part of a logging camp on the shore of Hood Canal. The house has been expanded and upgraded, but it still has that cozy log house feel. The living room is very relaxing, with a river rock fireplace and a beautiful view of Hood Canal. With four cheerful bedrooms, a daybed by the fireplace, and a fully equipped kitchen, you will feel right at home.
Gladwin Beach House is at the end of the Hood Canal. In the summer, the waters are warm enough to swim and play in when the tide comes in over the tide flats. The warm water is a rarity in Puget Sound. Put the kayak in the water and explore the Theler Wetlands and Union River Estuary. Take a nature hike, or mountain bike nearby trails. Relish and enjoy the quiet and peaceful picturesque water views here. At night, sit by the fire pit; sing songs, tell jokes and roast marshmallows.
Gladwin House sleeps eight guests, fully furnished with linens and towels provided. All the amenities are included at no extra charge: kitchen supplies, firewood, and use of the barbecue, hot tub, and boats (one canoe, two kayaks, and a row boat).
