We offer guided horseback rides through Moran State Park which is an old growth forest. We offer a 1 1/2 hr, 2 1/2 hr, 3 hr and 3 1/2 hr trail through the old growth forest. We take 2-8 people at a time and ride through out the day Monday-Sat. We also offer lessons for a small fee, before the ride, if you have never ridden a horse, for safety and to make your ride more enjoyable. We only take reservations through the phone and we are very busy during the spring-summer months March-Sept. Reservations are a must during those months, especially for large groups. We do take children age 7 and up-no one under that age for insurance reasons. We have very gentle horses which adds to the fun of riding through the old growth forest. Come ride with us and experience a ride through the breathtaking trails of the old growth forest while listening to the beautiful sounds of the birds and other wildlife, hearing water trickle alongside the trails as it cascades down the mountain side, occasionally seeing owls, woodpeckers, deer and other wildlife through out your ride in their natural habitat-truly an experience of a lifetime. Our riders tell us continually what an enjoyable highlight the ride was for their trip to Orcas Island and many come back to Orcas, just to experience a ride again.
