Heston Farm Winery started with a dream. The owners Mick Heston and Julie Smith wanted to turn their family farm into a place for people to come and relax while enjoying locally made wines and spirits. They developed an affinity for wines in their travels around the world and wanted to bring their passion back to Pinchgut Hollow.
In keeping with Appalachian tradition, Heston Farm wines are primarily sweet and reflect the heritage of the region. They find their names from animals, people and attractions you can see around the farm.
Pinchgut Hollow Distillery opened in May, 2011. Our distillery attracts West Virginians and people from the surrounding states and serves as a major tourist destination for North Central West Virginia. We make old-fashioned whiskeys, using recipes handed down through generations of the family.
