A CASA museum of the Brazilian object is intended to give its contribution to the appreciation, enhancement and development of Brazilian craftsmanship and design, fostering the conscious perception and respect for Brazilian expression in these domains.
This non-profit institution is interested in the genesis of artisan semi-artisan and industrial objects – perceived as a cultural expression. It privileges Brazilian production or the focus about and on Brazil. This vision may reach other countries insofar as there is relevance for a better understanding of the Brazilian panorama. Not only is the object itself of interest, but also the process and context in which it is conceived, made and consumed. Of further interest is a network of cultural mediation that currently enhances and enables the socialization of cultural productions.
